We are pleased to inform you that the Public Health Agency of Canada published the draft Federal Framework on Lyme Disease. The draft Framework was informed by the Conference to Develop a Federal Framework on Lyme Disease, held in May 2016, which brought together Lyme disease patients, representatives of federal, provincial and territorial health ministries, patient groups, researchers and health care providers to exchange their views, share the latest available scientific evidence, and make recommendations on the path forward.
The draft Framework is being published for a public consultation period, which will close March 8, 2017. All input will be carefully considered in the development of the final Framework, which will be published in May 2017.
We invite you to submit your comments, and your feedback will be considered with all other comments received as part of the 30 day public consultation period.
