Treena Klassen

reena has been a registered nurse for over 27 years. Treena’s clinical background crossed all boundaries in the field of mental health. Treena completed a certificate program through Mount Royal College in Advanced Studies in mental health and went on to create the first Mental Health Crisis Program in southern Alberta. Treena worked in addictions, acute psychiatry and children and family mental health. Interested in increasing her competence to work with individuals with personality disorders Treena obtained training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Treena completed a Master of Education degree through the University of Southern Queensland. Treena’s focus was on embedding adult learning principles in practice based training with a focus on dialogue. Treena is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Business Degree through the University of Liverpool and is interested in the enactment of non-positional nursing leadership.
